About Me

I'm a copywriter based in Huntington Beach, California with a background in marketing and a focus on the beauty and cosmetics industry. I specialize in several areas of copy, including product packaging, visual merchandising, press, digital advertising and marketing, video, blogs, events, and retail marketing.

I have always had an interest in beauty and cosmetics, which quickly became a passion of mine when I began my career at philosophy in June 2006. I started as a Sales and Marketing Administrator and was promoted shortly afterward to Marketing Coordinator. In this position, I took on several writing projects and discovered my talent and love for writing, as well as my ability to express the brand voice. In January 2008, I made the decision to move back to my beloved hometown of Huntington Beach and was offered the opportunity to work remotely as philosophy's first full-time copywriter and was promoted to Senior Creative Copywriter in March 2011.

After parting ways with philosophy in September 2013, I started working as a freelance copywriter for small beauty brands and was recruited by Too Faced Cosmetics in November 2013 to be their first copywriter, providing my freelance services in-house 2-3 days a week. I spent a total of 6 years working with them as the unique brand voice, providing copy for all brand assets, while also onboarding and training new full-time copywriters. It was an honor to have the opportunity to strengthen my skills and support the company as they quickly grew from a small boutique beauty brand to a global beauty brand within the Estée Lauder Companies. Since working with Too Faced Cosmetics, I have continued to acquire new beauty clients, offering them my freelance copywriting services for various marketing and brand related projects.

I love creating compelling copy and inspiring people through words. I have a passion for beauty and self-care which is why I love working in the cosmetics industry and creating fun, playful, inspiring copy that empowers individuals to be the best version of themselves. I truly believe that beauty is confidence and that feeling pretty on the outside makes you feel pretty on the inside.

In addition to writing, I am a mom to two small children. Freelancing gives me the flexibility to work part time and make my own hours so that I can be available to care for them. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, spending time in nature, traveling, cooking, and quality time with my family and friends.
